3d design made

To perform 3D printing, 3D design is required. 3D designs can be made from existing products, 2D drawings, sketches or images. When 3D printing is a way to create products or ideas but digital files are not available, this is ideal.

From idea, to 3D design to 3D print

3DMarc's 3D designers can create designs based on your ideas and turn them into printable 3D files.

Ideas, 2D drawings, sketches, images or existing products can be supplied digitally (PDF, JPG, PNG, DXF or DWG) as well as printed versions. Consultation is always possible on the best choice of materials, 3D printing technology, shapes and sizes.

Making 3D design suitable for printing

You have a 3D file but does not meet the 3D printing requirements? It can then also be repaired.

3D files may need to be repaired in the following cases:

  • The model in a software package is formatted working with 'surfaces' instead of 'solids'
  • When wall thicknesses are too thin after scaling
  • At overhang without 3D printing support

Based on a physical object

Do you have tools, parts or specific products, but no digital (CAD) drawings to enable 3D printing?

Reverse engineering is the solution. It usually starts with a 3D scan of the model and then converts it to a 3D file. This document is the basis for possible further optimization or innovation.
